CAPTURES BY CHINESE
The following cablegram, was received by the Chinese Consul "from Hankow this morning:—
In the south of Shantung there was no material change in the situation yesterday. ' ■ There was severe fighting all day yesterday..at the following important points:—East of Taierchwang, north of Pihsien, and west of Tancheng. .
According to a military report, during the first half of April, and in the whole of China, we killed over 30,000 Japanese troops, took about 1500 prisoners, and captured over 200 machineguns, 4700 rifles, and large quantities of war material.
