DEAL GOLF COURSE
UNFIT FOR CHAMPIONSHIP
LONDON, April 29.
The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrew's, announces that owing to inundation by the sea in February and the subsequent drought, the Deal golf course will be unfit for play in the open championship beginning, on July 4. Arrangements are being made to hold the championship elsewhere, probably at Sandwich.
