HOSPITALITY TO N.Z. EX-SOLDIERS

SYDNEY, This Day.

Before leaving by the Awatea last night for New Zealand, the Hon. W. Perry, president of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, issued a message of appreciation and thanks to the Government of New South "Wales, Lord Mayor of Sydney, and the people of New South Wales on behalf of the New Zealand returned soldier visitors.

"Everything that could have been done to make our stay pleasurable was done," he said.

Colonel Gambrill and Lieut-Colonel Lyon, on behalf of the men on the Maunganui and the Monowai respectively, also wrote to the Lord Mayor expressing appreciation of the hospitality given the members of the contingent by the people of Sydney,
