REDUCED CHARGES

Mrs. K. M. Collins, a sitting member of the Hospital Board and Labour candidate, speaking last night, drew attention to improvements instituted at the Wellington Hospital since the last elections, especially in the reduction of fees. The amounts charged now for fees were within the reach of the average working man. That the citizens of Wellington appreciated the action' of the Labour members on the board was shown in the increased collection of fees. This improvement in receipts from the patients had been brought about by the foresight of! the Labour members on the board and their policy of administration in conjunction with the many beneficial acts of the Labour Government. With 100 per cent, co-operation between the various local bodies and the Government, New Zealand would once again become "God's Own Country."
