AN INDEPENDENT
Mrs. Margaret Young announces that she is again a candidate for the Hospital Board, and asks for support as an Independent, as before, so that she may give equal consideration to the needs of every section of the community. Mrs. Young points out that she> has always taken an interest in charitable affairs, and has assisted both publicly and privately over a number of years. As a frequent visitor to the nubile hospital she sees that it is inadequate in every way, and the Press reflected the dissatisfaction with it. She favours a new and Up-to-date hospital being built • away from the present surroundings, Some? where with more peace for patients and more fresh ail1/ with pleasanter surroundings, which the nurses would appreciate also. A new children's hospital is needed, Mrs. Young maintains, preferably at a seaside spot near Wellington. If this is not possible, then she would insist upon a children's convalescent home at the seaside.
