COMPLIMENTARY PARTY
There was an exceptionally pleasant gathering of friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Parker] Kelburn Parade recently, -when bridge was the special entertainment. The decoration of hydrangeas and handsome gladioli were much admired, and an excellent supper was served. Speeches were made by Mr. Collins and Mr. Parker, and after supper some musical items were enjoyed, these being given by Miss Mifanwy Davies and Mrs. Bill Coleman, with accompaniments by Mrs. Greenaway. Dances by Miss Marjorie Parker and Mr. Theo Parker also were much appreciated. The singing of "Auld Lang Syne" concluded a delightful evening. ■
Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Greenaway (Levin), Mrs. Roussel, Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Marris, Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Field, Mr. and Mrs. Collins; Misses Majprie Parker, Adams, Margaret Greenaway (Waikanae), Dorothy Niven, Mifanwy Davies, Mary Ross, Iredale Trent,; rfjonica Richmond, Betty Stubbs, and rietty Cuttan; and Messrs. Clifton and Theo. Parker, S. Marris, A. Long, and W. Coleman.
