RABBITSKIN PRICES
MARKET IMPROVES

DUNEDIN, April 29,
The first fortnightly rabbitskin sale of the season was held yesterday, when a good offering was submitted to a large attendance of exporters, furriers, and representatives of the local trade. The general tone of the market was better and competition was more spread; but at times it was a little erratic. As compared with previous sales quotations for better grades were fully firm, but lowej- descriptions sold at par to Id easier. A few parcels of winters were put forward and commanded keen competition, first early winter bucks selling to 50d, ; incoming winters to 44£ d, and second early winter bucks to 35d. The following is the -official range of • prices:—Small, 4d to sd; runners, 9Jd to lOd; summers, lOd to lOJd; Jight racks, 16|d to 17Jd; prime ricks, 16id to 17id; dawny autumns, 17Jd; early autumns, 23Jd to . 244 d; late autumns, 30d to 343 d; second incomings, 28d to 30d; incomings 39d to 44$ d; first early winter bucks, 50d; second early winter bucks, 35d; milky, 8?d to 9*d; winter fawns, 153 dto 17d; summer fawns, 9id; summer blacks, 9Jd to lOJd; autumn blacks, 14d to 15d; hareskins, 93d to lid; horsehair, 24} d to 25id.
