A great deal of friendly interest was taken yesterday in the opening, of a new building in Messiiies Road, Karori, to accommodate a of. the girls at St. Mary's Anglican Homes. The work done st the homes fcr so many years has been of outstanding merit, and many hundreds; of; girls .have found happiness and , safety there. i The new house has appropriately been called the "Edith Sprott House", to commemorate the fine wjork done by Mrs. Sprott, who was'president: of St. Mary's Guild for over 25'y<ears and is now a vice-president. The new house] is for the accommodation .of . girls of school age, while the' Duncan' Cottage (also named after an excellent' worker for the homes) has been completely renovated for the smaller- ones.
