SYDNEY, This Day.
Tens of thousands of peopje wh« lined the streets this morning wit» nessed the greatest commercial and in. dustrial pageant ever presented in Au»> tralia. The procession was about three miles long and comprised 106 floats, 20 bands, and also other units, including early and modern fire-fighting appliances, 30 huge grotesque heads, 309 girls from athletic clubs, clowns, elephants, tigers, and a troop of miniature ponies ridden by small girls and boys.. After traversing a number of city streets, the pageant encircled the Show Ground. The pageant and the opening of the Royal Show are features of today's anniversary celebra.tions.
