DEFIANT GERMANS
SOUTH-WEST AFRICA
MOTION IN ASSEMBLY
(Received April 9, 10.25 a.m.)
CAPE TOWN, April 8.
The Legislative Assembly of Southwest Africa rejected a German motion acknowledging German as the official language and that citizenship should be open to European immigrants instead of their being forced to take British naturalisation papers.
The debate was significant for the defiant attitude of the German leaders.
