Competition was keen, at the sale of wool oddments, sheepskins hides arid tallow held by Abraham and WiUiams Ltd., at Palmerston North on Thursday Values for skins, hides, and tallow showed a slight decline. Wool- Values for all grades were on a par. Sheepskins: There was a drop of id a lb. Hides: Cox, ox hides, and calfskins were id to 3-8 per lb down. Tallow: Tallow showed a slight depre-. 01 The"'following is the range of values:—Wool: Crossbred BJd to 9icl, fine hoggets, BJd to .9Jd; hoggets, 8d to B*d; locks and pieces, 5d to 7|d. Sheepskins: Fine hoggets, 8d to BJd, hoggets, 7Jd to Bid; three-quarter to full-wools, 8d to Bid; quarter to halfwooli, 7d to 8d; crossbred damaged, 6d to 6Jd; lambs, 6|d to 7Jd; pelts, 4d to 4Jd; salted, quarter-wools, Is 9d to 2s 2d each; salted quarter to halfwools, 2s 2d to 2s 4d. Hides: Ox, heavy 64d to 6|d, medium 6d to 6id, light 4 7-8 dto 5 l-8d; cow, heavy 4jfd to sd, medium 4jd to sd, light, 4*d to sd; yearlings, 6d to 7 3-8 d; calf, light, first, 8 3-8 dto BJd, light second 8d to 8 3-Bd, cut 6 7-8 dto 7d. Tallow: In drums, first, 14s to 15s a cwt; in tins, first, 8s to 10s.
