They are taking an active' part in the running of the cottage, being shown every detail of the work which makes for the successful management of a home. When they entertain they supervise the menu and plan . the amusements for the guests. ■
The^ Princesses joined the Girl Guides' First Buckingham Palace Troop, formed for them by their friends. '
The Queen during her holiday is wearing the delightful tweeds of Scotland, the shades being rose pink and misty blue-. One of her suits is in light rabbit-wool' tweed with a' satin-soft finish, and one has a fleck of raspberry to deepen the rose pink.
