DAYS IN PARLIAMENT
In response to a request from the Leader of the Opposition (the Hon. Adam Hamilton), the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) informed the House of Representatives yesterday that the opening days of the session would be occupied with the Imprest Supply Bill and the Address in Reply.
Following the usual motions of condolence regarding deceased members today, said the Prime Minister, the House would adjourn until 2.30 p.m. on' Tuesday when the Imprest Supply Bill would be introduced. -That would occupy the attention of members for the rest of the day. On Wednesday the Address in Reply would be opened at 7.30 p.m., when the mover and seconder would speak. Their speeches would be broadcast, as would be some of the speeches on Tuesday. The Leader of the Opposition would speak to the Address in Reply on Thursday, and other members would continue the debate.
