Lady Carncross, wife of the Speaker of the Legislative Council, and, Miss Sybil Carncross, Eltham, have arrived at Wellington for the session, and have taken up, their residence at Parliament House. - Mrs. \V; E. Barnard, wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has arrived at Wellington for the session, and has taken up her resi-: denee at Parliament House. Miss Edna White-Parsons, Lyttelton, New Zealand golf champion, will visit Napier, leaving at the end of the month, to defend her title at the Dominion tournament. Miss Gladys Corbett, who has been visiting relatives in Tauranga, has returned to Wellington. Miss Molly Russell is a Hastings visitor to Wellington. Miss Hide and Miss Mona Chapman, Timaru, who have been making a motor tour of the North Island, returned home yesterday. Mrs. J. Cable, Wellington, is visiting Auckland, and is staying at the Station Hotel. Miss M.. T. Cresswell, Kelburn; is paying a short visit to her sister. Mrs. C. G. McKinney, St. Albans, Christchurch. Mrs. B. C. Robbins, Tauranga, will make a home in Wellington for several months. Miss Daisy Perry, who has been the guest of Mrs., Walsh, Lyall Bay, has now returned to* Christchurch. Miss Elizabeth Loe, . Wellington, judge at this week's. North Island, semifinal drama festival, who arrived at Hawera on Monday night, is the guest of Mrs. W. C. Fyfe, Hawera. Miss E. Martin, Wellington, is the guest -of her sister, Mrs. S. Dransfield, Auckland. Mrs. Alfred Evans, who has been spending three months with her daughter, Mrs. R. Caughley, Wellington,,has returned to Christchurch. Miss Margaret Anderson, Kelburn, is the guest of Mrs. J. M. O'Reilly, New Plymouth, Mrs. Ericcson, Dargaville, is spending a 'holiday in Wellington. Mrs. Bruce Christie, formerly of Auckland, will make her future home in Wellington. Miss E. Pearce, Stratford, who has. been spending a holiday in Wellington and at the Chateau, has returned home. Mrs. Harold McGowan and Miss Barbara McGowah, Ngaio Road, Kelburn, are spending a short holiday at Paekakariki. Mrs. Kavanagh, Palmer Street, left yesterday morning for a holiday in Hawke's Bay. She was accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. M. Hyde. Miss N. McKenzie, who spent several weeks in Wellington, has returned to Stratford..,.!... . •Miss Sheila Kissel, .Karori, is visiting Christchurch, Miss Thora Divers arrived by the steamer express yesterday from Dunedin to spend a holiday in Wellington with her aunt, Mrs. James T. Martin, Nirvana, Thorndon. Mrs. Guyon Macdonald, Orau, is a guest at the Royal Oak Hotel. Mrs. K. Boyes, Auckland, is visiting Wellington and is staying at the Empire Hotel. Mrs. Gillies (Christchurch), Mrs. Donald G. Ogilvie (Auckland), and Miss V. V. Hynes (Tai Tapu) are guests at the Midland Hotel. Mrs. R. J. Greenwood did Miss G. Robertson (Palmerston North), Mrs. F. Reid (Dunedin), and .Mrs. A. E. Wells (Auckland) are among the guests staying at the Grand Hotel. Mesdames Russell Chisholm (Palmerston N,orth), H. Gatty (Auckland), Rittson Thomas (Blenheim), and Leicester Thomas (Christchurch) are staying at the Hotel St. George.
