"A GREAT TEAM"

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Sept. 8. • "It was a good, hard game, and we enjoyed it. The ground played better than I expected," said the Spx-ingboks' captain, P. J. Nel. G. P. Thomas, captain of the Southland team, said he was pleased with the way the forwards played, and he thought that if they could have got a little more of the ball the team might have-put up a good showing. The speed of the Springbok backs was a big factor. "They are a great team," he said. The gate takings were approximately £ 1600.
