United Press Association—By Electric Tele» graph—Copyright. (Received July 17, 1.45 p.m.) . NEW YORK, July .16. The New Zealand Minister of Financa (Mr. W. Nash) is earning the title of "the flying Minister." Within 36 hour 3 he flew to Pittsburgh from Washington, returned to Washington, and flew to New York.
The Australian Associated Press agency says Mr. Nash is very satisfied with the discussions he has had, and considers that a complete air service between America and New Zealand will be achieved within a reasonable time. He also believes that the difficulties of a trade agreement between Canada and New Zealand have been eliminated, and says that satisfactoryconclusions have been reached.
Mr. Nash is amazed at the interest in the United States in New Zealand' 3 programme. "The Secretary of State told me," he said, "that the Administration is closely watching our results. I am confident that Mr. Roosevelt will visit New Zealand immediately he relinquishes the Presidency." ' ,
Mr. Nash is discussing trade between America and New Zealand while in New York, especially in relation to fruit and butter.
He leaves for Balboa on July 18, via Kingston, and will sail by the Mata* roa on July 23 after discussing trad? between New Zealand and Panama.
