MILK IN SCHOOLS
(To the Editor.!
Sir,—Has the Muritai School been overlooked in the free milk scheme? If the school committee has done its part in regard to the matter, what is the obstacle? I understand the Pe'one and Hutt Valley schools are enjoying the milk issue, so Muritai must be the only Wellington area school being denied the benefits of the scheme. Transport cannot be a problem, as if the milk were sent across by the 7.40 a.m. ferry steamer, it could be delivered at tlie school by 9 o'clock. I trust'an explanation will follow my inquiry, and that we shall soon hear of the Muritai children being added to the recipients of the national drink for our youth.—l am, etc., A FATHER.
[The supply of milk to schools in the Hutt Valley and Eastbourne area has been under consideration by a committee which was convened by the Mayor of Lower Hutt. This committee is to meet on June 2£ to consider tenders for the supply.!
