MEMORIAL TABLET AT WAITAKI DAM
A bronze tablet in memory of the nine men who lost their lives during the construction of the Waitaki hydroelectric dam will be unveiled at ihp power station on Sunday by Mr. H. E Herring, M.P.: It is expected that Dr. D. G. McMillan and Messrs. A. H. Nordmeyer-and D. Barnes, M.P.s, will be present at the ceremony, states the Christchurch "Press." Mr. Herring attended tlie opening of the power station and noticed that there was no monument to record the loss of life.
