PERSONAL NOTES

Miss A. Batham, Wellington, is visiting the South Island.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Airey, Karori, and two children left by air yesterday to stay for a few weeks with Mrs. Ren wick, Stoke, Nelson.

Lady Sargood and Mrs. Lan Maclcillop, Dunedin, will leave from Wellington by the Tamaroa on Monday for England.

Miss Barbara Standish, Wellington, is visiting Palmerston North for the show and the Massey College dance.

Miss Vollice Martin has arrived from Dunedin to take up her residence with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James L. Martin, at- "Nirvana," Thorndon. Miss Martin was the guest of . honour at many farewell parties before she left Dunedin. .

Mrs. A. S. Taylor is a Christchurch visitor to Wellington.

Miss Violet Wood, Palmerston North, has been appointed to the kindergarten to be established in the new railway station. at Wellington. For several years she has conducted a kindergarten "at Palmerston North.

Mrs. O. Riley, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. D. Scaly, Waitoa, Waikato.

Mrs. P.D: McGuire and her daughter, Remuera, Auckland, who have been visiting Wellington, will leave for the north tonight.

Mrs. Leo Hemming (Invercargill) and Miss M. Timberlatte (Cape Town) are among the guests at the Hotel St. George.

Mrs. A. Pyke and Mrs. E. Pyke (Gisborne), Mrs. E. Morgan (Auckland), Miss N. Pyke (Gisborne), and Miss J. M. Patrick (Dunedin) are among the guests at the Royal Oak Hotel.

Mrs. S. B. Mace (New Plymouth), Mrs. W. Buckley (Auckland), and Mrs. J. S., Morrison (Blenheim) are among the guests' staying at the Grand Hotel.
