SPEEDING CHARGES

Charges of exceeding 30 miles an hour in the borough were made against several motorists before Mr. H. PLawry. S.M., in the Lower Hutt Court yesterday. Tlie speeds in all cases were in the vicinity of 40 miles an hour.

Inspector A. C. Crawford, of the Transport Department, prosecuted. Frederick Castle was fined £2 10s. Fines of £2 each were imposed on Evan Evans and William B. C. Maddever. Glendinning W. Riddell was fined 30s.
