ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
The senior Soccer championship has now reached an interesting stage as three teams, Hospital, Petone, and Waterside, are logical contenders for honours. . . .
On No. 1 ground at the Basin Reserve tomorrow Petone will play Seatoun. Though Seatoun have suffered two defeats in recent matches they are capable of playing fast and clever football and they may extend the Petone team, which cannot afford to lose any more matches. An exciting game should therefore be witnessed by spectators.
On No. 2'ground Diamond and Waterside will, meet' and as the Diamond players have" shown good form lately a lively encounter should eventuate. Curtain raisers will be played at 1.15 p.m.
1 Arrangements have been made io obtain progress reports •at the Basin Reserve of the second Test played at Auckland between England and New Zealand.'
