THE WATERLOO CUP

FIRST TWO ROUNDS

MASTERTON, June 17. The Waterloo Cup coursing meeting opened today at the Akura enclosure before a representative attendance. Visiting officials of the New Zealand association paid a tribute to the excellent management and to the high standard of the coursing, the class of the dogs generally being the best seen tor some years.

A surprise defeat in the second round was that of Father Emerson, winner of the cup in 1936. Details of the coursing are as follows:—
