With overnight showers and the j weather still unsettled, It Is difficult to say exactly what the day will bring forth for the conclusion of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Winter Meeting to. morrow, but as the Hastings track? were in.need of rain so badly tho going, although slushy,- should not be holding.

Fresh horses engaged are Candico First Chapter, Hunting Spy, Colleen Gain, Pukehou, Anubis, Wilful Lady, John Charles, Journet, Black Fox, Monarchy, Battleground, Tractile, Gironde, Quake, Top Hat, Ben Braggie, Peter Beckford, Shu, Bun Fight, and Sir Nigel. Thus the racing promises to be even more interesting than the first day's. Peter Beckford and Trailer are not certain starters.

The following will carry monetary support:— Hastings Hack Handicap.—Candico, Colleen Gain.

Hawke's Bay Hurdles.—John Charles, Journet

Havelock Hack Handicap.—Black Fox, Liane.

June Steeplechase.—Wykemist, Riotous.

Rotopai Hack Handicap.—Tail Light, Silent Acre.

Woodlands Hack Handicap.—Top Hat, Colleen Gain, or Shani.

Final Handicap.—Ben Braggie. Peter Beckford or Passion Flower.
