LEVIN, This Day.
The more favourable position of New Zealand butter on the London market compared with Danish since the operation of the Labour Government's market system was mentioned by Mr. J, GBarclay. MJ?„ Marsden, speaking at Levin last evening.
New Zealand butter under the guaranteed price has been on the mar* ket since November last year and, compared with the 1035-36 season, November to June, the market value thus far, he said, was 6s 7d per cwt higher. Danish butter during the same period decreased by ls 8d per cwt, and the difference had now been decreased by 8s 3d per cwt. The increase to the New Zealand dairy industry was £1,750,000,
