WAIRARAPA MEETING

(Special to the "Evening Post.") MASTERTON, This Day.

The annual meeting of subscribers of the Wairarapa Patriotic Association was held yesterday.

It was reported that the" total receipts from all sources from the inception of the fund in 1915 to March 31, 1937, were £227,185 0s 2d, and the total payments £199,641 9s sd, leaving a net balance of funds in hand of £27,543 10s 9d, a decrease of £621 2s 3d on the previous year. The total cost of administration was £9243 10s 6d, or 4.06 per cent, of the total contributions, or 2.16 per cent, of the total receipts plus total payments.

Interest from investments had yielded £38,623 10s 4d gross, and £31,771 5s 7d liet. Advances to soldiers totalled £100,284 18s; repayments, £63,224 6s 7d; and writings off, £22,874 17s Bd, leaving outstanding £14,185 13s 9d.

Mr. Duncan McGregor was re-elected chairman of the executive.
