INCREASE IN RATES

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

LEVIN, This Day.

The Levin Borough Council at a meeting on Tuesday evening decided to increase the general rate in the Levin borough by one-eighth of a penny to 1 3-8 din the £. Other rates, including the hospital rate, will remain unchanged. As a result of the: decision the rates will be increased by approximately 5 per cent. The change is made on account, of higher wages and costs of materials.
