LONDON DISCUSSIONS
United Press Association—By Electric Tel«graiih—Copyright. (Received June 17, 11.20 a.m.). LONDON, June 16. The political correspondent of the Australian Associated Press agency learns that as a resu t of the discussions on the international situation at the Imperial Conference it has clearly emerged that Australia will on no account give up New Guinea and equally South Africa, New Zealand, and Britain are determined t» retain South-West Africa, Western Samoa, and Tanganyika respectively. It appears that England and the Dominions are agreed on the question, realising that it would be strategically impossible for the Dominions to return to their pre-war position whereby a foreign Power was at their doorsteps.
