STUD SHEEP SHOW
NEW ZEALAND SUCCESSES
SYDNEY, June 16.
The standards of previous years were more than maintained at this year's stud sheep show, which oprned today at the showground, Sydney, under auspicious conditions. The chief New Zealand exhibitor was Mr. D. Grant, of Timaru, who secured the following awards:—
Border Leicester classes: Reserve grand champion, prize for fine ram, first prize for ram over one and under two years, third and highly commended for ram under one year, third and highly commended for ram two years, highly commended for pen of two rams under one year.
The award for the grand champion went to Mr. W. A. O'Neill, who was the chief prize winner in the Border Leicester classes.
The major prizes in the Corriedale classes were taken by Mr. J. F. Guthrie and Messrs. C. E. and H. F. Prell.
In the Merino sections practically all the famous New South Wales studs are represented.
