AUCKLAND, June 16.

. The Bank of New South Wales has purchased a property on the western side of Broadway, Newmarket, comprising a two-storey brick building with three shops on the frontage for the purpose of a branch office.

Although plans have not yet been prepared, it is the intention of the bank to construct a modern and commodious bank building, possibly with provision for general offices as well. The price paid has not been disclosed.
