A meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union's executive was held last night. Those present were Messrs. S. S. Dean (chairman), F. T. Glasgow, A. McDonald, W. J. Wallace, J. Prendeville, A. C. Kitto, Lieut.-Colonel J. G. Roache, and Mr. A. E. Neilson (secretary). Best wishes to the New Zealand Rugby Union for a successful season during the tour by the South African team were conveyed in a letter from the Apia Rugby Football Union. It was stated that the members would be closely following all matches and heartily wished the New Zealand representatives every success in all games. A challenge from the M.A.C. team (Hawke's Bay) for the Tainui Cup was referred to the Maori Advisory Board. Applications by R. J. Swanson (Canterbury) and J. A. Harding (Auckland) for reinstatement were granted. '
