Miss Marie Tempest's part in the successful London "lay, "Retreat from Folly," was that of a woman divorced from her husband, who returns to her own country after many years abroad Almost by accident, she gets in touch with her son and daughter, whom she has not seen since they were child ren. In the first act, the son tries to sell a car to his mother, whom, ol course, he does not recognise. Peter Coke played this part delightfully, and Antoinette Cellier was the daughter who has been running about wilh a witty philanderer. Paul Leyssac played the latter role. The scenes are set in a smart London hofel. The 'comedy was written by Amy Kennedy Gould »nd Eileen Russell.
