DELIGHTFUL MUSIC

SUCCESSFUL RECEPTION

Miss Ruby McDonald, formerly of Wellington, who has been ten years in New York, where she was a successful musician, her special work being that of a violin conductor, gave a delightful reception at the Hotel St. George last night.

There were plenty of flowers about in the comfortable lounge, and Miss McDonald played her much-appreciated selections from a low platform which was adorned with a pink-shaded lamp. She wore a dainty frock of pink and ivory taffeta with a petal-flounced skirt and bodice of pink georgette. A bouquet of flowers in the same charming shades was presented to her. v

Mrs. W. H. Gledhill and Mrs. Charles McDonald were hostesses for the occasion, and were assisted by Mr. -McDonald and Misses Pat Gledhill and Marjorie Anscombe.
