Y.W.C.A. EXTENSION

INTERESTED HELPERS

A gathering was held at Miramar recently when a group of women interested in the extension of Y.W.C.A. activities met at the home of Mrs. Kinsmen to discuss the advisability of launching a scheme of club work among the younger girls in the district.

Miss Bridgman (general secretary of the Y.W.C.A.) outlined the work already being done by the association and stressed on those present the necessity for providing the younger girls with opportunities for fellowship, and for creating interests during their leisure hours. The practical discussion which followed evidenced an enthusiasm for the adoption of some form of club w"ork, and a committee was set up to plan ways and means by which the scheme may be put into action.
