"Anpther .milestone in. our history has been passed," remarked Mr,, O. G. Smith in his - presidential address at the fourth meeting of - the Miramar auxiliary of the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association on Tuesday. Grants, consisting chiefly of grocery orders, clothing,: and blankets to necessary local cases had been made to the extent of £46 3s. The Poppy Day effort had been successful, the ladies' committee collecting £15 5s 9d. The parade held at the Miramar South School on Anzac Day had been successful, the men being addressed by Colonel H. Cowles. president of the W.R.S.A.

The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr. J. Gordon Harcourt; chairman, Mr. O. G. Smith; vicepresident, Mr. C. O. Bell; hon. secrer tary, Mr. F. M. Thomson; hon. treasurer, Mr. B. Climo; committee, Messrs. E. G. Downe, P. J. McCarthy, A. Xj. Trower, C. V. Pell, and E. A. Golding.
