FATALITY AT UPPER HUTT
MAN CARRYING A SWAG
When knocked down by a motor-car on the Main Road at Maori Bank, just before coming to the Brown Owl Tearooms,' about 6.45 o'clock last' evening, Alfred James Stanley Colenso received head injuries that resulted in almost immediate death. He was a returned soldier and about 38 years of age. At the time of the accident he was travelling northwards carrying a swag. The police would welcome inquiries from tiis relatives and friends.'
The driver of the car was Horace Noel Mason, of Onepu Road, Lyall Bay. •■■■■■ '-1
