COUNCIL'S ANNIVERSARY

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WESTPORT, January 4. The Buller County Council celebrated its sixtieth anniversary by a banquet this evening. About 100 guests attended, including a number of pioneers and present and formei borough and county councillors. Mr. R. J. Hawes, county chairman, presided. The toast of "The Council" was proposed by the Mayor, Mr. J. Ki} kenny.
