MAGISTRATE WELCOMED

(By Telegraph—l'ress Association.) AUCKLAND, January 2. A cordial welcome was extended in the. Magistrate's Court this morning to Mr. C. R. Orr-Walker, formerly of Timaru, who began his duties as a Magistrate at Auckland. Mr. R. A. Singer spoke on behalf of the Bar and Sub-Inspector Fox for the Police Force. Mr. Orr-Walker said that his relations with the Bar and the police had been of the happiest, and so far as he was concerned this relationship would continue.
