SUBURBAN ASSOCIATIONS
Scoring the 101 needed for victory with the loss of three wickets, the Christchurch Suburban Association representative team defeated the Hutt Valley Suburban Association in a twoday match concluded at Petone on Saturday. Features of the second day's play were the partnerships between E. Roberts and M. F. Nicholls, two former Rugby All Blacks, and the partnership between Stokes and Allen of Christchurch. which gave the visitors victory. Candlish and Davison, the Christchurch stock bowlers, also proved formidable. taking the ten wickets between them in Hutt's second innings. Details:— HUTT VALLEY. First innings 7 138 Second Innings.
