Annual accounts of the English, Scottish, and Australian Bank covering the 12 months ended June 30 last show that deoosits bearing interest increased By £138,081, against a decrease the previous year, > and current accounts increased by £350,815. Advances on the year were higher by £299,201, whereas 12 months previously the increase was £2,595,301. Cash items have been greatly strengthened, shoeing an addition on the year of £2,244,382, as against a decrease of £3,064,359 between 1934 and 1935.
