''TRAVEL TALKS"

Mrs. Hawthorne presided over a recent meeting of the Upper Hutt branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union.

Several interesting topics were discussed, and "Travel Talks" by Mrs. Hawthorne and Mrs..Morris were profusely illustrated with photographs and post cards. The members' interest was carried from Whatuwhiwhi, North Auckland, to Suva, American Samoa, Honolulu, Los Angeles, California, Winnipeg, and Vaucouver. The financial statement presented by Mrs. Mumby was proof of the splendid effort the members had put into the year's work, and it was with a feeling of great satisfaction that the grant to the community chest was doubled. The competition winners were Mrs. Lindsay U) and Mrs. Collett (2). The hostesses were Mrs. Skou and Mrs. Henry Whitcman.
