"In view of the number of motorcars in use at the present time, the registration figures today being higher than on any previous occasion in New Zealand, a substantial increase in membership was to have been expected," the report states, "but even having regard to this fact, the large increase, bringing the membership as it does to a new level, is a gratifying feature of the year's activities. The total receipts from. . subscriptions amounted to £5502, another record. After allowing depreciation on assets and £300 as a reserve for maps and guides, there was an excess of income over expenditure of £286 11s 3d. The Accumulated Fund now stands at £3149 2s 9d. Investments were also increased during the year." _ _ Referring to the patrol organisation the report states that the patrol officers both in regard to service and the enrolment of new members has been most satisfactory.
