MANAWATU SHOW.

Schedules for the Manawatu Metropolitan Spring. Show, to be held at Palmerston North on November 5, 6, and 7 (amended dates) are now ready. Prize-money is on the same attractive scale as for last yeai-'s Golden Jubilee Show, when the total exceeded £1500. Many handsome trophies have been provided, some for straight-out wins. The Stock Show and Dog Show will be held on Thursday and Friday, November 5 and C, and on Saturday, November 7, there will be a special carnival programme of military sports, three trotting races, and other items in course of arrangement. The industrial exhibition and side-shows will be open for three days and three_ nights. A. pageant of forms of motor transport will be a feature of the ring attractions on Thursday and Friday. A competition for a hunters' long jump over water is a new feature in the horse events. Intending exhibitors of stock at the Royal Show at Christchurch will have .an. excellent opportunity of breaking the journey at Palmerston North and competing at this big Metropolitan Show. Arrangements can be made for stock accommodation at Palmerston North for stock entered at both shows. Full particulars and any further information required can be obtained from the secretary.
