CLUB OPENINGS
Five tennis clubs, Talavera, Salamanca, Johnsonville, Rawhiti, and Kelburn, are opening their 1936-37 seasons this afternoon. ' N The Mayor (Mr. T. C. A. Hislop) i 3 performing- the opening of the Talavera Tennis Club, whose new courts are situated at the junction ofTheßigi and Glenmore Street. He is bemg introduced by the club president (Mr. E Bray). An exhibition doubles will be played by Messrs. D- C. Coombe, N. Smith, A. C. W. Mantell-Harding, and A. Richards. _ . The Johnsonyille Club is being opened "by 'the 1 club president (Mr; F. Jacobs). Messrs. R. McL. Ferkms and E. A. Roussell are playing an exhibition singles: -p V The club president .(Mr. E. : £. Stevens) performed the official opening at the Rawhiti Club this; afternoon, before a good attendance of membep Mr. A. Richards represented the WL.T.A. management committee.
