DANNEVIRKE'S PROGRESS

DANNEVIRKE, September IS,

The teleprinting machine installed at Dannevirke Post Office was officially operied this afternoon in the presence of a representative gathering. The Mayor, Mr. Gibbard, congratulated the Department upon its initiative and enterprise, and messages were interchanged between the Mayor, the Post-master-General (the Hon. F. Jones), and the/ Director-General of the Department (Mr. G. McNamara), the Minister expressing confidence that the installation of this modern apparatus would be regarded as an indication of the growing importance of Dannevirke. ■
