KITCHEN TEA
An enjoyable afternoon was spent recently at the residence of Mrs. E: Lindsay, Duncan Terrace, the occasion being a "kitchen-tea" .given by.Miss Phyllis Lindsay to Miss Bettie McClellan, who is to be married at an early date. Miss Lindsay received: her guests wearing a dainty frock of white .and green mariette, and the prospective bride's frock was of blue lace. Competitions, games, and .community singing made the time pass- happily,; and after a dainty afternoon tea was served the guest of honour opened her many and varied gifts.-. She; was then presented with a novelty, "pot of. flowers," the "flowers" being articles necessary in the kitchen. The guests, included Mesdames McClellan, Goodwin, Atkinson, Clements, and Samison, Misses .Tewiss, Thomas, Tritt, Robinson,. Kelly, Townhill, Smart, Todd, Dixon, Wilson, Taylor, Burns, Grant, Nolan, and Holmes.
