SUCCESSFUL BRIDGE PARTY

The bridge party held'at''the-Dutch Fail' °t the Town Hall yesterday afternoon was'a very pleasant and successful One. It' was" arranged by -Mrs." E. L. Niccol, who had secured the interest of a large number of players. Afternoon tea was served by the committee of St. Barnabas' Home for Babies, Khandallah. The tables were arranged by Mrs. F. R. Marriott, Mrs. D. Lyon, Mrs. Usher, Mrs. L. Watk'ins, Mrs. Ei" D. Barber, Mrs." J. J. Esson, Miss Ma'disbn; Mrs. C. Wheeler, Mrs. J. J. Patterson, Mrs. R. Gardner, Mrs. Williamson, Mrs. Graham, Mrs., B; A. Marris, Mrs. F. Bethurie, :Mrs.' Lawton, Mrs. Stevens," Mrs.-."-'Lonergah;' Mrs ; Hargreaves, Mrs. Jones, Miss Cross. Mrs. Vile. Mrs. R. Popes Miss Collins.

This afternoon the baby show is attracting the usual keen interest, and the number of "beautiful ones" ii receiving their meed of admiration.

This evening- the Seatoun'" Pierrot Troupe will give a good entertainment, and the Boys' Institute Band will'help

to make things cheerful. The exhibition of cookery at its > own "Nook" by an expert from-the Gas Company will, of course, give both interest and instruction to those who wish to become more clever in managing good familj menus. This feature of the fair ticularly attractive. The stalls are being re-dressed each day, and plentifully stocked. It is hoped that a good clearance will be made to add to the funds of a necessary institution.
