Mr. H. C. Clark (Pukekohe) commented on the wording of jthe announcement, remarking that it to indicate that the two reicording clubs were to be disregarded. 'On that score the recent comment by the president of the Waikato Club. Mr. J. D. Caro, was justifiable, but he thought it had been a little hasty.
Several speakers said they considered that instructional work was most ■important.
• The scheme was taken by the meeting as the first step towards the inception of a complete scheme of recording, instruction, and development.
'.' Mr.. B. E. Keillsr, president of the Manawatu Club, waited on the council and, discussed .the scheme, saying that his club had always backed the scheme, ?.nd it would continue *o do so.
The council appointed three members 1o deal with any aspects of the Scheme requiring attention, the two Clubs being invited to send a representative each, making a committee of five.
r For his third statutory offence of drunkenness, Angus McKay Mackay, a seaman, aged 46, was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment, by Mr. Raymond' Ferner, 5.M..: in. the Magistrate's Court today. For wilfully damaging a motor-car window valued at- £4, he 'was fined. £1.
