THE C CLASS STATIONS

The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage), who is also Minister Of Broadcasting, has announced that the first commercial (C class) broadcasting station in New Zealand will begin operations.within a fortnight. .. .It is expected that the pioneer of this class of servce—the broadcasting of advertising programmes—will be one of the Auckland stations, and that, others will soon follow in the other mam centres. .No announcement .has ; yet. been made as to the directorship of thei C class stations, but it. is understood that the position has been offered, to the Rev.
