A shallow depression extends across the Xorth! Island, hut there is little variation in pressure over the Dominion as a whole.' Winds hare been- mostly light or moderate, southerlies having prevailed about and south o£ Cook-Strait and variables northwards. The weather has been fair in the northern and western districts of tho' South Island' and also in Taranaki, but elsewhere - cloudy to overcast' conditions have ruled with- much, mist or tog and scattered rains.
