WEDDING

BEARDMOBE—GEIBBLE,

At St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral the adding was solemnised recently of Monica Eileen Mary, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gribble, Highland Park, to Ronald Frederick, younger son of the late-Mr. and Mrs. E A Beardmore,', WanganuL The Rev' Canon James officiated, and Miss A Hand rendered two solos.

The bride wore .a beautiful gown of satin charmeuse. (.lit on fitting lines with a cowled neckline fastened with a spray of orange blossom- The back panel of -<the skirt formed a long graceful train, which gave dignity to the bride as she was escorted down the aisle by her. father. She carriedl a sheaf of lilies and her embroidered! veil was held in position by a coronet , of orange blossoms. The bridesmaids the Misses Olive and Marie Buckley wore dusky pink frocks, the frilled necklines being finished at the back with long ends of velvet ribbon, and the full skirts were inset with frilled net godets. They wore haloes at flowers in their hair and carried shower bouquets of carnations, hyacinths, and. freesias, with maidenhair fern. Patricia "and, Jocelyn Perry (nieces of the' bridegroom) wore Victorian frocks of pink net finished ■ with velvet ribbon at the waist and. .suspended from their wrists by velvet ribbon were balls of shaded chrysanthemums. They Wore flowers in their hair to tone.

The best man was Mr. Laurie Beardmore (brother of the bridegroom): and Mr. Ralph Scott was groomsman. Mr. and Mrs. Gribble held a reception at the Mayfair Cabaret, Mrs Gribble wearing a smart gown of brown .angelskin lice, finished at the shoulder with a spray of autumntinted flowers. ' ■'

Mr. and .Mrs. R. F. Beardmore left for the north, Mrs. Beardmore' wearing a grey costume and musquash fur coat, with hat and accessories to tone. ;. ■' '. ■ • \ .. • •
